Commencement 2021 – What you need to know!

Dear Graduating Students,

It’s almost time! Commencement 2021 is fast approaching, and we want to ensure you have all of the information you need to fully enjoy this milestone with your classmates, families, and friends.

SENIOR WEEK

Senior Week—a week of fun just for your class—takes place Monday, May 10–Thursday, May 14, and there are still spaces available for some events. You do need to be registered, be part of the testing pool, and have a negative test result prior to Senior Week. Learn more about Senior Week events on The View and click here to register.

COMMENCEMENT 2021

You have RSVP’d to attend Commencement 2021 in person. You will be joining the on-campus ceremony celebrating graduates of our Division of Communication & Creative Media (CCM) and Stiller School of Business (SSB), taking place at 10:00 AM (EDT). The pre-show will begin at 9:30 AM. The livestream can be viewed directly at this link.

CHECK-IN

Your Commencement check-in for CCM & SSB graduating students will be in front of Butler Hall on Finney Quad. Please check in between 9:00–9:30 AM. The procession line-up begins at 9:30 AM. 

PARKING FOR STUDENTS

All Commencement parking for students will be on the Main Campus in the Skiff, 158 South Willard, 371 Main, and South House lots.

FOR YOUR FAMILIES & FRIENDS

All ceremonies will be available to watch at commencement.champlain.edu. Clear instructions will be provided on the website for accessing all ceremonies. Your friends and families can tune in for the pre-show beginning at 9:30 AM; the ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM (EDT). The livestream can be viewed directly at this link and will include both live and pre-recorded content.

REMINDER: COMMENCEMENT DAY CHECKLIST

  • Complete a COVID-19 test between May 10–12
  • If you conducted your COVID-19 test off-campus, submit the results here
  • Submit the Daily Health Screening
  • Have your cap, gown, and Champlain ID with you at check-in

If you ordered a grad pack, we will be passing them out in the Fireside Lounge in IDX on Tuesday, May 11 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. For those who can’t come during that time, we will have them again on Wednesday, May 12 at the in-person Big Prize Bingo Event from 4:30–6:30 PM outside the Champlain Room. Get your sticker, #ChampGrad mask, selfie signs, and balloons!
