Student speaker Denzel Johnson is graduating from Champlain College with a Master of Science in Information Security. He will address fellow Champlain College Online graduates during the 3 PM ceremony on Saturday, May 13.
Johnson is not new to Champlain— this is his second degree from Champlain College, having also earned his Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity through Champlain College Online in 2021. Johnson hails from Detroit, MI and is an Army Veteran and part-time Lead Information Technology Specialist with the Michigan Army National Guard. A relatable experience to many of our adult online learners, Johnson successfully juggled his work, studies, parenthood, and more during the past few years while completing his degrees.
Johnson is currently putting his degree to work full-time as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Leidos, a technology-driven business focused on four key areas: civil, defense, health, and intelligence. He’s certified as a Linux Systems Administrator and proficient in Python, Cyber Threat Analysis, and Network Security. With years of leadership experience under his belt, Johnson is a motivated, independent, and creative thinker.
His dedication and commitment to his career and studies has landed him on the Dean’s List and President’s List.
Congratulations, Denzel, and we can’t wait to celebrate you on Saturday, May 13 during the 3 PM ceremony and hear you address your fellow graduates!
