How the Class of 2020 is Giving Back

For this year’s Senior Class Gift, the Class of 2020 has graciously decided to extend their support to the Class of 2024. As college and high school seniors, these two groups have a deep understanding of what the another is going through.

Watch this video to hear from the Class of 2020 themselves.

The Class of 2020 has come together with a shared goal: to make a difference and leave a legacy.

This year’s class gift is a donation to the Champlain Fund. This fund helps students face emerging challenges and take full advantage of experiential learning.

Members of the committee—Absa Samba, Becca Boucher, and Billy Standen—worked with staff from Champlain’s advancement team, in partnership with Scout Digital Media, to create a video welcome and encourage their classmates and families to support the campaign.

Here are some emerging opportunities their gift will help address:

  • Access to complex software, regardless of a student’s financial means
  • Internships that provide meaningful experiences whether done remotely or in person
  • New ideas for inclusive extra-curricular experiences

Just like our seniors, this entering class will have to flex with the changes and jump at new opportunities. The stronger the Champlain Fund, the more flexible and responsive the Champlain experience can be for all students.

Thank you Class of 2020, and congratulations on all you have accomplished! If you would like to support this wonderful initiative, you can make your gift here.
